Survival rate after surgery for intermediate stage liver cancer

Patients with intermediate stage liver cancer can choose surgical treatment in time, and the survival rate after surgery can reach 30%-50%, and some patients can even survive for 3-5 years. If liver cancer is diagnosed at an early stage, the most effective treatment is to choose surgery to remove the primary lesion and reduce the tumor load. In clinical work, many patients are already in the middle-late or progressive stage when diagnosed, in this case, interventional therapy can also be chosen to slow down the development of tumor cells, including interventional embolization, radiofrequency ablation, or hepatic artery cannulation and perfusion chemotherapy. In the middle stage of liver cancer, about 3 years after surgery, some patients are prone to local recurrence or metastasis of distant organs.
