What is Tourette’s Syndrome in Children

  Childhood tic disorder is a phenomenon in which children have involuntary body movements or make sounds, such as frequent throat clearing or blinking, and can be caused by many things.  Tic disorder in children is a common behavioral disorder in childhood, mainly manifested by children’s face or eyes or limbs often appear uncontrolled reaction, such as squinting, shaking head and shrugging shoulders, as well as children’s throat will involuntarily make similar dry cough or throat clearing strange sound, some children also can not control swearing, there are a variety of triggers.  Some children develop the disorder because of their physical condition, more sensitive nerves or timid and inferior personalities. A few children develop the problem by imitating others or adults, and some children develop the problem because of poor family environment, such as parents who are too strict with children and often punish them. Tic disorders in children usually disappear on their own as they get older, but a few of the more persistent disorders may persist even as they grow up. Severe cases require treatment and some intervention, otherwise they can affect learning and relationships.  Tic disorders in children are relatively common behavioral disorders in children, with a variety of causes and manifestations, and generally resolve on their own as they grow older, while a few require treatment.
