Can uremia be dialysed at home?

Uremic patients can be dialyzed at home, first of all, there are dialysis methods for uremic patients: hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Hemodialysis is currently performed in large hospitals or hospitals in China, but in some developed countries, some patients can also purchase their own hemodialysis machines and water machines to perform hemodialysis at home. This is when the patient is given appropriate training on self-puncture, self-powered machines, and the handling of problems and simple complication alarms, i.e. in some developed countries hemodialysis can be performed at home. Peritoneal dialysis, which is mainly operated by patients at home, uses the patient’s own semi-permeable membrane to instill peritoneal dialysis fluid into the patient’s body to remove toxins from the body through the principles of diffusion and convection. Peritoneal dialysis requires only that the patient be intubated in the hospital and that the patient be given a post-operative orientation, after which home dialysis can be performed. Patients can then be seen and adjusted in the hospital if they experience complications peritonitis or the corresponding problems of poor ultrafiltration.
