Tongue sores belong to the category of aphthous ulcer disease, related to the heart and spleen heat, yin deficiency fire (deficiency of Yin essence in the body, the appearance of the deficiency fire hyperactivity), acupuncture and moxibustion of Chengjian, Dicang, Hegu, Lianquan, Zhaohai, Fuxuyao and other acupuncture points. 1. The manifestations of heat in the heart and spleen include yellowish-white mouth sores, burning pain, bad breath, and thirst, etc. You can acupuncture the following acupoints. Chengjiao, located in the center depression of the chin-lip groove, is the confluence of the Directing Vessel, Ren Vessel, Hand Yangming Meridian and Foot Yangming Meridian. Dicang is 0.4 inches away from the corner of the mouth, and is the junction of the Yang Stilt Vein and the Hand-Yangming and Foot-Yangming meridians. Lianquan in the anterior midline, above the laryngeal node and in the depression at the upper edge of the hyoid bone, is where the Ren and Yinwei veins meet, linking the tongue proper. These three points can unblock the Qi in the mouth and lip area, clear heat and diarrhea (remove heat and fire from the body). Hegu is located at the midpoint of the radial side of the index finger, which can dredge the qi and blood of Yangming and treat mouth disorders. 2. For mouth sores with Yin deficiency and fire exuberance, such as grayish mouth sores, small and few wounds, recurrent and lingering disease, dry mouth, thirst, night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping sweating after waking up), we can also add Zhaohai and Fuxiao, which are located in the depression below the tip of the inner ankle; and Fuxiao is located in the medial part of the lower leg, 2 inches straight up from the Taixi acupoint and anterior to the Achilles tendon. Acupuncture of the above points should be carried out under the operation of a doctor, and moxibustion should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor.
