The presence of nodules on the left lung is clinically a benign lesion in most cases and a malignant lesion in very few cases.
There are many causes of lung nodules, such as inflammation of the lung, tuberculosis may manifest as lung nodules, very few nodules in the upper lobe of the left lung are seen in malignant occupying lesions, that is, bronchopulmonary carcinoma, alveolar cell carcinoma and so on, which can be further diagnosed by CT’s enhancement, microscopy, pathology and other examinations.
For nodules in the upper lobe of the left lung, it depends on the size and nature of the nodules. For nodules smaller than 1cm, it is recommended to review CT once every 3 months, if the nodules do not show obvious enlargement or even shrinkage, it is considered that benign nodules have a higher possibility, if the nodules are increasing, it should be suspected that they are malignant tumors.
