What’s wrong with mid-pregnancy tummy ache

Mid-pregnancy stomach pain may be caused by physiological factors or pathological factors, such as pathological uterine contractions, digestive system diseases, gynecological diseases and so on.
1. Physiological factors:
(1) Diet: stomach pain can be caused by improper diet in mid-pregnancy, such as eating too cold or too spicy food, which leads to gastrointestinal discomfort.
(2) Environment: for example, the abdomen is cold, in a cold place, etc., may lead to stomach pain in mid-pregnancy.
(3) Physiological uterine contractions: this is a normal phenomenon during pregnancy, the uterus will have physiological contractions from mid-pregnancy onwards, but these contractions are irregular, usually without obvious pain, and will not lead to miscarriage or preterm labor.
2. Pathological factors:
(1) Pathological uterine contractions: if a pregnant woman in mid-pregnancy has regular uterine contractions, obvious pain, or even vaginal bleeding, this may lead to miscarriage or preterm labor.
(2) Digestive system diseases: such as gastric ulcer, acute gastroenteritis, reflux gastritis and other diseases can lead to damage to the gastrointestinal mucosa, resulting in stomach pain.
(3) Gynecological diseases: such as ovarian cyst torsion, pelvic inflammatory disease and other gynecological diseases, which can also lead to the symptoms of stomach pain.
After the mid-pregnancy tummy ache excludes physiological factors, it should go to the hospital in time to find out the cause of the disease and treat the cause.
