Polivi, or clopidogrel bisulfate, should not be taken with eplazole because eplazole interferes with the anticoagulant effect of clopidogrel bisulfate.
Eprazole is an acid inhibiting drug, mainly used in the treatment of gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, stress ulcers, reflux esophagitis, and Droege-Ayer syndrome. Excessive secretion of gastric acid is common in gastrointestinal diseases, when patients have this condition, they mostly have stomach discomfort, such as burning sensation, nausea, acid reflux, epigastric pain, etc., which can be treated by oral administration of Epprazole.
Clopidogrel bisulfate is used to prevent atherosclerotic thrombosis, such as arterial embolism, thrombocytopenia and coronary embolism. When the drug is metabolized in the liver, eplazole competes with clopidogrel bisulfate for the same enzyme, and the former has an inhibitory effect on the latter, resulting in a weakening of the latter’s antiplatelet aggregation effect, therefore, it is not recommended to use the two drugs together.
All of the above drugs should be used under the guidance of a doctor, do not mix and match drugs, in order to avoid adverse effects.
