Diffuse large b stage IV survival

Survival of patients with stage IV diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is affected by a number of factors, including age, number of extranodal lesions, and treatment regimen, with a general 5-year survival rate of about 50% or more.
1. Age: the prognosis of patients older than 60 years old is relatively poor, and the 5-year survival rate will be lower than 50%.
2. The number of extranodal lesions: diffuse large B-cell lymphoma stage IV will be accompanied by many extranodal metastatic foci, the more metastases, indicating that the patient by the tumor invasion of the greater range of tissues and organs, accordingly, will produce a lot of complications, such as dizziness, headache, coma, etc., which greatly increase the difficulty of treatment and reduce the patient’s survival time.
3. Treatment plan: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma stage IV patients are usually treated with chemotherapy plan, including CHOP plan (doxorubicin + cyclophosphamide + vincristine + prednisone), etc. At present, it is found that if combined with the targeted drug rituximab at the same time, it can improve the 5-year survival rate of patients.
It is recommended that patients with stage IV diffuse large B-cell lymphoma should adjust their mindset, ensure their nutritional intake, exercise moderately, and actively cooperate with their doctors in order to improve the quality of survival and prolong the survival period.
