Here we introduce five common knowledge of lung cancer nursing, which we hope can help lung cancer patients. 1. The implementation of psychological care for lung cancer patients should firstly grasp the four elements: premise, foundation, key and core. Good doctor-patient relationship is the premise of psychological care, and the tacit cooperation between nurses and patient’s family is the foundation of psychological care; correctly grasping the psychological characteristics of patients is the key of psychological care; helping patients to correctly understand the disease, actively cooperate with diagnosis and treatment, stimulating patients’ potential survival consciousness, and improving the body’s resistance to disease is the core of psychological care. The nursing staff can make the patient cooperate with treatment in the best state of mind by doing the four elements. 2. Prevent infection by closely observing the peripheral blood picture of patients, and carefully checking and recording the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary, motor and neurological systems after daily nursing check-ups and consultations. In addition to good disinfection of wards and bedding, clean and disinfect the oral mucosa, skin and perineum; instruct patients to pay attention to rest, not to go to other wards and reduce visits to avoid cross-infection. Advise patients not to pick their nose casually to prevent nasal bleeding; brush their teeth with a soft-bristled toothbrush to prevent gum bleeding. 3. Do a good job in health education and guidance, which is also very crucial in lung cancer care. For patients with mild to moderate diarrhea, observe and record the number, color, nature and amount of stools and the stimulation of perianal skin, assist patients to take good care of perianal skin, and inform patients the importance of cleaning the anus after stool; instruct patients to eat fluid and semi-liquid that are easy to digest and contain less fiber, and avoid spicy, raw and cold, too hard and too greasy food. 4.Toxic skin reactions instruct patients to avoid scratching, pay attention to keep the skin clean and dry to avoid infection. 5.Muscle aches and pains usually occur in 2-3 days of chemotherapy, and most of them return to normal in a week or so. In addition to giving painkillers as prescribed by the doctor, attention should be paid to explaining to the patient to let him/her know that this symptom is reversible. And assist in daily life care, massage the sore place, help to divert their attention and reduce their discomfort, and physical therapy can be carried out if conditions permit.
