What’s wrong with lying down and turning your head from side to side?

Dizziness occurs when lying down and turning the head from side to side, and the dizziness is visual rotation, which lasts for 1 minute or a few seconds and disappears on its own; if the symptoms are more intense, it is also accompanied by nausea and vomiting, and the symptoms gradually disappear when the head position does not move, and the dizziness will reoccur when there is a change in the head position, but it will only be inclined to the left side or the right side, which is considered to be a case of benign positional vertigo, also known as otolithiasis. This is considered to be benign positional vertigo, also known as otolithosis, and can be treated by manipulative repositioning of the otolith, which requires treatment in a neurology or rhinolaryngology specialist. If the patient is unable to tolerate the maneuver due to severe vertigo symptoms, he/she needs to take oral medication temporarily to control the vertigo attacks, and the duration of the medication should not be too long. This is a self-limiting disease that can gradually improve without treatment, but the onset of symptoms is more intense, so it is recommended that the patient undergo maneuvering at the early stage of the disease in order to reduce the occurrence of symptoms.
