The supraspinatus muscle is an important part of the rotator cuff. If there is a tear of the supraspinatus muscle, it will affect the abduction activities of the shoulder joint, so active treatment is needed for the tear of the supraspinatus tendon to prevent the occurrence of sequelae such as shoulder joint adhesions and limited activities. For partial tears of the right supraspinatus tendon, if the tear is small, it can be treated conservatively by external fixation of the shoulder and elbow with a fixation band for about 5-6 weeks. After the tendon has healed, functional exercises of the shoulder joint need to be actively performed to prevent shoulder stiffness and limitation of movement. If most of the right supraspinatus tendon is torn, surgery is needed to repair the tendon under arthroscopy.
