Itching inside the bones when you can’t sleep at night is commonly caused by the following conditions. The first cause may be a bone tumor or bone tuberculosis, where the tumor irritates the periosteum or the tuberculosis abscess irritates the periosteum causing a periosteal reaction, which leads to a local pain or itching sensation. The itching sensation is deeper and the pain is more severe, manifesting as nocturnal resting pain, and the activity will be significantly limited, and may also be accompanied by fever and other symptoms. Further examination and treatment at the hospital is needed to improve imaging and blood tests, such as tumor index screening or CT or MRI. The second cause may be rheumatic or rheumatoid diseases, which cause connective tissue lesions in the body and consequently an inflammatory response. If the lesion attacks the bones, there will be itching or soreness inside the bones, and the symptoms may be relieved when moving, and resting pain may occur at night when sleeping.
