Is retinoblastoma easy to treat?

The ease of treatment for different retinoblastoma patients is related to the stage of the disease and the presence or absence of metastases due to the different conditions of the patients. Retinoblastoma is a malignant tumor originating from photoreceptor precursor cells caused by genetic factors or gene mutations. Patients may present with symptoms such as high intraocular pressure, strabismus, clouding of the vitreous, conjunctival congestion and edema. If the patient is in the early stage of retinoblastoma and there is no metastasis of cancer cells, aggressive intravenous chemotherapy, arterial intervention, laser, cryotherapy and other treatments are more effective and easier to treat. If the patient is in the advanced stage of the disease, with intracranial or distant metastasis, the prognosis is extremely poor, and it is not easy to treat. Retinoblastoma needs to be detected and diagnosed early in order to improve the prognosis as much as possible, and patients should seek medical treatment in time and actively cooperate with the doctor after finding the disease.
