How soon can you move normally after clavicle fracture surgery

After clavicle fracture surgery, it is generally recommended that normal activities, including anterior extension, retroflexion, internal retraction, and external rotation of the joint, can begin at about one month. At one month, X-rays can be taken to observe the healing of the fracture. If there is continuous bone scab passing over the fracture, then full range of motion of the shoulder joint can be started without weight bearing. It is not possible to play sports in the upper extremity at this time because the fracture is still in the healing phase. It is generally not possible to start playing sports until three months after the fracture surgery, and it is safer to take X-rays to confirm that the fracture has reached clinical healing before starting sports.
