After in vitro embryo transfer, you need to pay attention to appropriate rest, adjust the diet, continue medication supportive treatment, and review on time. If bleeding and abdominal pain occurs, you need to consult a doctor in time.
1. Appropriate rest: embryo transfer should be operated by professional doctors, after embryo transfer, we should pay attention to appropriate rest, but do not have to absolutely bed rest, can not be tired and strenuous exercise, prohibit coitus.
2. Adjust diet: supplement folic acid, and increase dietary nutrition, such as eating some fresh vegetables and fruits and cereals, protein-rich foods. Avoid spicy and cold food to avoid diarrhea, which will stimulate contractions and cause miscarriage.
3. Continue medication supportive treatment: After transplantation, you should continue to take oral progesterone and other medication supportive treatment as prescribed by your doctor.
4. Review on time: Generally, blood or urine hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) level test should be carried out about 2 weeks after the transplantation to confirm pregnancy, and ultrasonography should be carried out 4~5 weeks later to clarify the normal intrauterine pregnancy.
If the patient is not well aware of the precautions to be taken after the transfer, he/she can consult his/her attending physician and make adjustments according to his/her doctor’s advice to minimize the adverse effects on the embryo.
