Proper care after vaginal reconstruction surgery is necessary to ensure good survival of the reconstructed vagina. 1. Apply antibiotics routinely for 3 to 5 days. 2.Adjust the diet: liquid diet for 3 days after surgery, and after 3 days, it can be changed to semi-liquid diet without residue. 3.Bed resting, control in 7~10 days without stool removal, oral opioid tincture preparation is optional. 4.Insert Foley’s catheter until the day of removal of stitches. 5.Remove the iodoform gauze filled in the vagina and remove the sutures 10-14 days after surgery, and put in appropriate vaginal molds immediately after drug change. 6. After the local wound has healed, the surgeon should instruct the patient on the specific methods of removing, cleaning and placing the vaginal mold and advise the patient to carry the mold for at least 3 to 6 months to prevent contracture and narrowing of the reconstructed vagina. After 2 to 3 months, depending on the condition of the vaginal trauma, sexual intercourse can be started, but the mold should be reinserted immediately after sexual intercourse. 6 months of follow-up, depending on the condition of the vagina, the decision will be made whether to stop placing the mold or to intermittently place the mold.
