What to do with a C14 value of 450

C14 breath test is an important indicator of Helicobacter pylori. 450 C14 value indicates that there is Helicobacter pylori infection, and should be given acid-suppressing, anti-inflammatory, gastric mucosa-protecting medication, such as omeprazole, amoxicillin, and dietary modifications and other comprehensive treatment. The normal value of C14 breath test is 0-100(dpm/mmol CO2), more than 100 indicates that there is H. pylori infection, but it does not represent the severity of the disease. 1. Drug treatment: If the C14 value is 450, eradication treatment should be carried out using the quadruple method, i.e. one proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole + one bismuth such as colloidal bismuth + two antibiotics such as amoxicillin and clarithromycin. The above drug allergy and the existence of other contraindications specified in the drug specification of the patient is prohibited, and the drugs should be taken in accordance with medical advice. 2. Dietary regulation: avoid spicy stimulation, greasy, cold food, eat more light and easy to digest food, such as vegetable porridge, rotten noodles and so on. The same disease, the patient’s physical condition is different, different stages of the disease, treatment methods are different, should be standardized under the guidance of the doctor.
