Moxifloxacin Tablets can be used in patients with renal insufficiency and mild to moderate hepatic impairment, and cannot be used in patients with severe hepatic impairment and transaminase elevation greater than 5 times the upper limit of normal value. According to the instructions for moxifloxacin tablets, patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment can use moxifloxacin tablets normally without adjusting the dosage of the drug; patients with impaired renal function and patients on chronic dialysis, such as hemodialysis and continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, can also use the drug normally without adjusting the dosage. Due to limited clinical data, moxifloxacin should be contraindicated in patients with hepatic impairment and in patients with transaminase elevations greater than 5 times the upper limit of normal. Moxifloxacin tablets are indicated for the treatment of acute bacterial sinusitis, chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, uncomplicated skin and skin tissue infections, complicated skin and skin tissue infections, complicated intra-abdominal infections, and bubonic plague in adults caused by sensitive bacteria.
