How to control your child’s myopia

Myopia can be controlled by improving bad eye habits, increasing outdoor activities, applying topical eye drops and wearing glasses of the right prescription.
1. Improve bad eye habits: Avoid prolonged close-distance eye use as much as possible. If you need to use your eyes at close range, such as reading and writing, make sure that the surrounding environment is bright and your posture is correct. It is recommended to look into the distance for 5 to 10 minutes after every 30 to 40 minutes of close eye use to avoid eye fatigue.
2. Increase outdoor activities: It is recommended to spend an average of more than two hours a day outdoor activities, because more than two hours of light can effectively prevent and control the growth of myopia.
3. Topical eye drops: Topical eye drops of 0.01% atropine can effectively prevent and control the growth of myopia.
4. Wear appropriate glasses: If refractive error occurs, you need to wear appropriate glasses in time. If necessary, you can consider wearing off-focus glasses, keratoplasty lenses and other functional glasses, which can effectively prevent and control the growth of myopia.
It is recommended that your child seek medical attention in a timely manner and take targeted measures to prevent and control the increase in myopia.
