What’s going on with calcified breast and axillary nodes?

Calcification of breast and axillary nodes may be caused by lactation stasis, inflammation, trauma and other factors. 1. Milk stagnation: Most often seen during breastfeeding, because of milk stagnation, in which calcium phosphate will be deposited in the milk ducts to form calcification. 2. Inflammation: may be caused by inflammation and infection, often also lead to calcification. 3. Trauma: mainly old trauma, is a benign breast disease, usually no obvious clinical symptoms, will not cause harm to the body. Calcification of breast and axillary nodes may also be breast tumors and other reasons, if the current calcification foci are relatively small, generally do not need special treatment, but regular review if the calcification foci are relatively large need to do further tests to clarify the diagnosis and take treatment.
