Also known as Purple Dicot, this product is consumed internally in a decoction. Purple flower grounding, Chinese medicine name. It is the whole herb of Corydalis purpurea. It has the efficacy of clearing away heat and detoxification (removing heat and poisonous evil from the body), drying dampness and cooling the blood. It is used in treating carbuncles (a kind of poisonous sore, an acute purulent disease occurring on the body surface, limbs, and internal organs), mumps, mammary gland carbuncles, scrofula (mainly refers to tuberculosis of the lymph nodes in the neck), jaundice, and venomous snake bites. The use of this product is for internal use in decoction; external use pounded on the affected area. Clinically, Zihuadidin is used in combination with wild chrysanthemum, dandelion, and purple-backed asparagus seeds to treat carbuncle boils and swellings; it is used in combination with red vine, ant grass, and scutellaria to treat enteritis and dysentery; and it is used in combination with forsythia, ginkgo biloba, chrysanthemums to treat measles and heat poisoning. Adverse effects, contraindications, and precautions of Zihuadidin are currently unknown.
