Effects of Red Ginseng

Red ginseng tablets have the effects of tonifying vital energy (replenishing the root of the body’s qi), restoring normal pulse (restoring the normal pulse and preventing the release of substances), and benefiting qi and blood ingestion (preventing hemorrhage by tonifying the qi). They can be used for the treatment of body weakness and desire for loss of body weight, cold limbs with a weak pulse, failure of qi to ingest blood, and blood loss under the umbilical leakage (excessively heavy menstrual flow or more than one drop of menstruation). Red ginseng is sweet and thick in flavor, warm in nature, and good at replenishing vital energy. Where there is great blood loss, sweat, and all diseases resulting in pallor, indifference, cold limbs, sweating, weak pulse, and the deficiency of vital energy, red ginseng decoction can be used urgently. If the symptoms are accompanied by syncope of the limbs (unconsciousness, accompanied by cold limbs, even to the elbows and above the knees), weak respiration and other signs of death of yang, red ginseng should be used with Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng. Red ginseng is used to replenish both Qi and blood deficiency. Red ginseng is used for blood deficiency because of its ability to benefit qi and generate blood, which is especially suitable for those who suffer from deficiency of qi and blood, and is often used together with ripened dihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata), Angelica Sinensis (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), and Paeoniae Alba (Radix Paeoniae Lactiflorae), in order to benefit qi and nourish blood (to replenish qi and blood). The adverse effects of taking red ginseng are not clear. Red ginseng should not be used with quatrefoil and wulingzhi, and should not be taken by those who do not have a deficiency of positive qi, or those who have solid or hot symptoms. Taking red ginseng should be guided by a professional doctor, and if you feel unwell, you should consult a doctor in time.
