Is blood sugar 14.9 diabetes?

If the fasting blood sugar is 14.9mmol/L, the diagnosis of diabetes can be made, and the fasting blood sugar is a serious level of elevation, so the patient should take oral hypoglycemic drugs or insulin treatment in time. If this blood glucose is 2 hours after meal, it also meets the diagnostic standard of diabetes, but belongs to the mild level of elevation, the patient may lower the postprandial blood glucose to 11.1mmol/L or less through diet control and appropriate exercise, and may not need oral hypoglycemic drugs or insulin treatment. So the key is to see whether the blood sugar 14.9mmol/L is fasting or postprandial blood sugar, and the treatment plan is different.
