What is a sign of a low albumin-globulin ratio?

Albumin is mainly synthesized by hepatocytes and it maintains the normal plasma colloid osmotic pressure in the body, as well as a certain nutritional role. Globulin is synthesized outside the liver cells, mainly by the lymphoid organs, and it has a certain relationship with the immunity of the body. When certain diseases occur in the body, there is a decrease in the synthesis of albumin and an increase in the synthesis of globulin, which leads to a change in the ratio of albumin to globulin. Clinically, low albumin to globulin ratios are common in diseases such as chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. If the above diseases are ruled out, then it may be caused by physiological conditions, such as malnutrition, staying up late, strenuous exercise, alcohol consumption, etc., which can generally be recovered after avoiding the causative factors.
