Can common colitis become ulcerative colitis?

Common colitis does not usually turn into ulcerative colitis, which is a completely different disease.
Common colitis often includes infectious colitis caused by infection with bacteria, viruses, or parasites, ischemic colitis caused by insufficient local blood supply to the intestines or impaired reflux, and pseudomembranous enteritis caused by imbalance of intestinal flora, etc. The cause of ulcerative colitis is still unclear.
The etiology of ulcerative colitis is still unclear, and it is currently believed to be caused by a combination of factors, such as environmental factors, genetic factors, and immunologic factors. The disease is a kind of persistent inflammatory damage of the intestinal mucosa. Patients mostly manifest abdominal pain, pus and blood stools and so on. Prompt treatment is needed. Commonly used drugs include, mesalazine, prednisolone, hydrocortisone and so on.
Since the etiology and causative factors are not the same, ordinary colitis usually does not become ulcerative colitis, and the above drugs are recommended to be used under the guidance of a doctor.
