Only sinusitis that occurs repeatedly and for a long time, at least 10 years, may become cancerous, and the cancer rate is low, which means that most sinusitis will not become cancerous. Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses. Patients may have symptoms such as pus, nasal congestion, decreased sense of smell and headache. Patients with sinusitis usually need to avoid colds as much as possible to reduce the occurrence of sinusitis. Early conservative treatment such as clarithromycin oral and tretinoin nasal spray can be given. If the results are not good after treatment, surgical treatment can be considered. Currently, nasal endoscopic sinus opening is mostly used, and postoperative follow-up and medication changes need to be strengthened to reduce the recurrence of sinusitis.
