What is a woman’s perianal blisters and then ulcers?

Women with perianal blisters and then ulcers may have genital herpes in the ulcerative stage. Genital herpes is mostly caused by herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) infection and is found in the lower part of the body, e.g. around the genitals, vagina, cervix, etc. It may also occur on the buttocks, near the anus and on the thighs. There are four stages – tingling stage, blistering stage, ulcerating stage and scabbing stage. 1. Stinging stage: the skin has a tingling and itching sensation, and the virus is already infectious at this stage, so it should not be ignored. 2. Blister stage: Small blisters begin to appear on the skin surface and gradually swell into individual or groups of blisters. At this time, there will be a burning and painful sensation, be careful not to break the blisters, in order to avoid the spread of the virus, and may cause infection and inflammation of the wound. 3. Ulcerative stage: The blisters will rupture and form ulcerated wounds during this period, which is the most infectious time of the virus. At this time, the wound should be kept clean and dry, and antibiotics and antiviral ointment should be applied if necessary to avoid bacterial infection and control the aggravation of viral infection. 4. Scabbing period: the wound starts to dry and heal to form a scab. Avoid picking the scab, otherwise the wound will not only bleed and get infected easily, but may also leave a scar. It is recommended that patients with any of the above symptoms should go to the hospital in time to identify the cause of the disease and give treatment as soon as possible to avoid aggravation of the condition.
