How to exercise for lumbar 5 sacral 1 vertebrae herniation

Lumbar 5 sacral 1 vertebrae herniation exercise mainly includes spinal flexibility training, core stability training and other rehabilitation exercise methods.
1. Spinal flexibility training: patients sit, keep the pelvis immobile, lumbar flexion, extension, left and right side bending and left and right rotational movements to relax the muscles of the lumbar back. The movement speed is smooth and slow, and the amplitude is gradually increased to avoid causing pain.
2. Core stability training: through the body’s non-equilibrium state training to gradually strengthen the body’s receptor function, fully mobilize the core stabilizing muscles to participate in the training, to maintain the body’s equilibrium state, and ultimately achieve the effect of improving the function of the spine. Exercises include double bridge exercise, four-point kneeling position, side bridge exercise, plate support and so on.
(1) Double Bridge Exercise: the patient takes the supine position, the upper limbs are straight and flat on both sides of the torso, the two lower limbs are together and then bend the hip and knee, then slowly prop up the torso until the torso and the thighs are in a straight line, maintain for 10~15s, then return to the original position, repeat 10~20 times.
(2) Four-point kneeling position: kneel on the bed with hands and knees as wide as shoulders and hips, head and buttocks in a straight line, contract the abdomen and tense it, then exhale, straighten the left leg and right hand, and form a straight line with the torso, keep it for 10s; then inhale and slowly return to the original position, change to the right leg and left hand, and so on to replace it, and repeat it for 5~10 times.
Patients with lumbar 5 sacral 1 vertebrae herniation should pay attention to rest in the acute stage and minimize exercise. After the symptoms have significantly improved, rehabilitation exercises can be carried out gradually, if the local pain symptoms are still not relieved after exercise, it is recommended to go to the relevant specialties in the hospital for systematic treatment.
