It is a kind of proprietary Chinese medicine, extracted from a kind of Chinese herb named Qianliguang, which has the functions of anti-inflammatory and detoxification, dispersing knots and relieving pain, and can be used in the treatment of acute pharyngolaryngitis, acute tonsillitis, acute bronchitis, lymph node inflammation, acute conjunctivitis, otitis media, acute intestinal inflammation, acute bacillary dysentery, boils and sores, and dermatitis and eczema. Though Qinghe Duanjie Tablet also has some anti-bacterial effects, it is not an anti-inflammatory drug and cannot replace anti-inflammatory drugs. The term anti-inflammatory drugs usually refers to drugs that can kill bacteria, or inhibit the growth and reproduction of bacteria, and treat bacterial infections. Anti-inflammatory drugs include antibiotics and synthetic antibacterial drugs, such as commonly used penicillin, cephalosporins, erythromycin, gentamicin, these belong to the antibiotic; such as sulfonamides, haloperidol, metronidazole, these belong to the synthetic antibacterial drugs. There are a number of proprietary Chinese medicines, although they also have a certain anti-bacterial effect, but they do not belong to the anti-inflammatory drugs.
