Picosecond laser treatment is a widely used treatment modality, and results usually occur in one visit. Picosecond laser treatment can be used to remove spots and pigments of different degrees of skin to achieve the effect of spot removal. For patients with mild skin spots, such as skin tightening and scar repair, one treatment with picosecond laser will be effective and can remove roughly 60%-70% of the spots. However, for patients with more serious symptoms, multiple treatments may be required, and one treatment should be performed roughly 3 times with 1-2 months interval each time, after 3 treatments, the effect of spot removal can be maintained for about 11-18 months. Picosecond laser treatment can achieve the effect of removing spots, but it cannot remove them permanently, and the faded spots will appear again after a certain period of time. Therefore, to maintain a good effect of spot removal, it is not only related to the number of times performed, but also related to the patient’s maintenance after the procedure.
