Thyroid cancer surgery hospitalization days

The length of hospital stay after thyroid cancer surgery is usually seven days, or about a week. Thyroid cancer surgery mainly involves total removal of the thyroid mass and systematic lymph node dissection, which can be performed in a minimally invasive way, which is less damaging to the body and therefore has a relatively fast recovery. In case of early stage thyroid cancer, adjuvant radiotherapy, chemotherapy or targeted therapy is not required. If there is lymph node metastasis, adjuvant targeted therapy or chemotherapy is required. In short, after thyroid surgery, the hospital stay is about one week.
