Spironolactone tablets can treat heart failure. Spironolactone, through antagonizing aldosterone, acts on renal distal tubules and collecting ducts, inhibits sodium-hydrogen and sodium-potassium exchanges, and blocks the sodium-preserving and potassium-excreting effects of aldosterone, thus playing the role of sodium excretion, diuresis, elimination of edema, etc. Moreover, it can improve the cardiac function and quality of survival of patients with chronic heart failure by inhibiting myocardial fibrosis and other aspects of the role. However, the diuretic effect of spironolactone is weak, and it is mostly used in combination with other diuretics or drugs for treatment. This drug is contraindicated for patients with hyperkalemia. When the patient occurs heart failure, should go to the regular hospital, clear cause, follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, so as not to delay the condition.
