Thick, yellowish leukorrhea that looks like snot is most likely due to the presence of vaginitis, or possibly cervicitis. There are many types of vaginitis, the most common ones are bacterial vaginitis, trichomoniasis and mycotic vaginitis. The clinical manifestations of bacterial vaginitis are increased discharge, yellowish color, sometimes odor, slight itching or burning sensation in the vulva, and symptoms may worsen after intercourse. Trichomonas vaginitis is characterized by pus-like, thin and foamy leucorrhea, and sometimes the discharge is grayish or yellowish white. The main clinical symptom of mycosis vaginalis is leucorrhea that is profuse, white and tofu-like, accompanied by severe itching. The thick and yellowish leucorrhea like snot is most likely bacterial or trichomonas vaginitis, which can be detected by taking vaginal secretions for examination at the hospital.
