Parotid hybrid tumor surgery requires precautions that are of great concern to patients and families. The main points include the following: 1. On the day of surgery, the patient returns to the ward from the operating room and needs to be accompanied by family members for observation. Attention should be paid to the color of the patient’s drainage tube, the color and the size of the amount drained out, such as a sudden increase in the amount of drainage, or a brighter color, to promptly notify the doctor and nurse for further treatment; 2. Two weeks after surgery, the patient can transition to a diet and take atropine before meals. Wear a head covering or bandage to inhibit saliva secretion to prevent salivary fistula. Avoid eating sweet, sour, bitter, spicy and salty foods because they can easily stimulate parotid secretion and affect the healing of the incision. 3. On the second day of surgery, patients can get out of bed and move around appropriately. Generally, the recovery after parotid surgery is relatively smooth. In addition, after the tumor is removed, long-term follow-up should be done to prevent recurrence.
