Is it important to be scratched a little by a domestic cat

If a cat scratches the skin slightly, the size of the wound can be judged to determine whether to seek medical attention, and vaccination is still recommended for safety reasons. If the skin is only slightly broken or if you cannot tell if there is a wound, wipe the scratched area with alcohol. If there is no pain, proving no exposed wounds, there is no need to worry excessively but the broken skin must still be cleaned carefully. Rabies vaccine is generally most effective when administered within 24 hours and preferably not more than 72 hours. Considering the long incubation period and high lethality of rabies, if the injured person is unable to determine the size and severity of his or her wound, it is recommended that he or she visit a hospital for resolution.
