How to bleed when scratched by a vaccinated cat

When a cat with rabies vaccination scratches and bleeds, you need to determine if the cat may be carrying the rabies virus. If the cat’s vaccination does not include the rabies vaccine, there is still a possibility that it is carrying the rabies virus and the scratch is bleeding, the wound needs to be treated in some way, cleaned and flushed, and then go for rabies vaccination, as well as rabies serum and human immunoglobulin for rabies. If the cat’s vaccination includes rabies vaccine and was given within one year, or if the procedure for the vaccination is followed, the cat is basically excluded from carrying the rabies virus and does not require rabies vaccination and rabies serum for humans. However, the wound still needs to be treated. Wounds scratched by cats are generally not particularly deep, and appropriate cleaning and rinsing, as well as bandaging can be done.
