Rehabilitation training after heel fracture surgery varies depending on the postoperative time, and mainly includes joint mobility training, weight-bearing training and so on. Heel fracture surgery usually requires external immobilization in a cast. Rehabilitation training can start from the first day after surgery. On the day of surgery~8 weeks after surgery: at this stage, cast is used for external fixation. Mainly through the active flexion and extension activities of toe joint (toe pump training) and knee joint activities to eliminate tissue edema, improve local blood circulation and improve cartilage nutrition. 8~10 weeks: X-ray shows gradual healing of the fracture, the external fixation can be removed, passive flexion and extension of the ankle joint. 10~12 weeks: from the use of crutches, the affected side is not weight-bearing walking on the ground, gradually transitioned to partial weight-bearing walking. After 12 weeks: normal weight-bearing walking on both lower limbs, if ankle stiffness occurs, arthroplasty is feasible. Heel fracture surgery should be timely under the guidance of the doctor to carry out rehabilitation training, and strictly comply with the requirements of the treatment, to avoid causing secondary injury.
