How to get rid of water retention overnight

Treatment of edema is a long-term process and cannot be eliminated overnight. Edema mainly includes nephrogenic edema, cardiogenic edema, hepatic edema and other diseases, etc. It needs to be treated according to the causes and symptoms.

1. Nephrogenic edema: mainly manifested as eyelid and facial edema, appropriate application of diuretics can control edema, such as hydrochlorothiazide, spironolactone, furosemide, etc., which should be started from a small dose, and ACEI inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin Ⅱ receptor inhibitors such as chlorosartan potassium tablets, etc., can also be used to reduce proteinuria.

2. cardiogenic edema: the first edema in the low-hanging part of the body, appropriate restriction of water and sodium intake, the use of diuretics, if acute pericarditis caused by edema, pericardiocentesis, release pericardial effusion; tuberculosis, anti-tuberculosis treatment can be used.

3. Hepatogenic edema: edema occurs when liver function decreases, especially when combined with hepatorenal syndrome, especially ascites is more common, which requires hepatoprotection, diuresis, and raising plasma protein.

4. Edema caused by allergy should take anti-allergy drugs such as loratadine, ibastine, etc. Edema caused by lower limb thrombosis should use anticoagulant drugs such as aspirin, clopidogrel and other drugs.

When edema occurs, you should consult the doctor in time, take medicines under the doctor’s guidance, maintain good bed rest, improve the blood supply to the organs, and control the intake of sodium and water appropriately in daily life, as well as controlling the speed of edema subsiding, and discharging more body fluids too quickly may cause adverse consequences.
