The spread of hives throughout the body does not necessarily mean that the hives have worsened, because the severity of hives is mostly judged by the patient’s general symptoms. In some cases, although hives may seem very obvious, such as the appearance of large red patches and wind clusters, they are controlled by certain medications and do not cause serious consequences in most patients. However, some people will experience exacerbation of urticaria, which mainly causes systemic manifestations, such as possible choking or laryngeal edema, while others will develop secondary asthma and even produce gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, and others may develop anaphylaxis, all of which are exacerbations of urticaria. If the hives are only limited to the production of wind clusters, the hives are not particularly severe. Some people may not have particularly uncomfortable symptoms and it is not very serious at this time.
