Hysteroscopy is a gynecologic endoscope that is used to look at the uterine cavity for lesions in women. During hysteroscopy, the doctor can get a full view of the uterine fundus and the anterior, posterior and lateral walls of the uterine cavity, as well as the uterine horns on both sides and the openings of the fallopian tubes. They can also scrape out the thickened endometrium under the hysteroscope and do pathological tests to find out the cause of the thickened endometrium and treat it according to the cause, so hysteroscopy can be done for thick endometrium.
