Cardiovascular medicine looks at diseases of the heart and vascular diseases related to the heart, such as hypertension, aortic disease and cardiogenic diseases.
1. Hypertension: Hypertension is categorized into primary hypertension and secondary hypertension. Primary hypertension, at present, has an unknown etiology. Secondary hypertension includes renal hypertension and primary aldosteronism.
Dizziness, headache, chest tightness and palpitation may occur when the blood pressure increases, and some patients may have no symptoms.
2. Aortic disease: mainly refers to aortic coarctation. At the onset of the disease, there will be persistent tearing or cutting pain in the chest or back, accompanied by changes in blood pressure and so on.
3. Diseases of cardiac origin: including coronary heart disease, myocardial disease, heart valve disease, pericardial disease, infective endocarditis and so on. Patients may have pain in the precordial region, chest tightness, palpitations, dyspnea and so on.
If cardiovascular disease is considered, a cardiovascular clinic should be consulted.
