What’s the pain under the right rib of lung cancer?

Right subcostal pain of lung cancer is considered to be related to physiological factors such as mental tension and overwork, as well as malnutrition, metastasis of cancer cells and intercostal neuralgia. 1. Physiological factors: some lung cancer patients are prone to right subcostal pain when they are overstressed and overworked recently. 2. Malnutrition: if lung cancer patients do not pay attention to the balanced intake of nutrients during the period of illness, which induces the lack of calcium and other nutrients in the body, the right subcostal pain or other bone and joint pains may occur due to malnutrition. 3. Metastasis of cancer cells: mostly seen in patients with middle and late stages of the disease, when the cancer cells metastasize to the surrounding organs and tissues, it is easy to induce right subcostal pain, nausea and vomiting, hoarseness, pathological fracture and so on. 4. Intercostal neuralgia: it is mainly related to lesions of thoracic vertebrae, infection, trauma, chest soft tissue injury, compression and stimulation. When intercostal neuralgia occurs in lung cancer patients, it can be manifested as right subcostal pain. In addition to the above, lung cancer patients with secondary cholecystitis, hepatitis, cirrhosis, etc. can cause right subcostal pain. It is suggested that lung cancer patients should have further detailed examination so as to clarify the cause of the disease and then follow the doctor’s instruction for treatment.
