The duration of fasting for gallbladder ultrasound is usually 8-12h. Before fasting, try to eat less oily food, try to eat a light diet, and try to eat less gas-producing food before the examination. Fasting for more than 8h during gallbladder ultrasound is good for bile filling the gallbladder, which is good for detecting microscopic lesions, such as microscopic polyps and small calcified crystals in the gallbladder wall. In the above cases, gallbladder ultrasound fasting is more favorable to detect microscopic disease changes. Therefore, it is advocated that gallbladder ultrasound fasting for more than 8-12h is better for ultrasound examination to improve the accuracy rate.
