There is nothing a mother-to-be fears more than miscarriage after pregnancy. We call it miscarriage when the fetus is terminated at less than 28 weeks of gestation and weighs less than 1000g, because even if it is close to 28 weeks of gestation, the fetus will not survive after delivery. How to avoid miscarriage? The most important thing is early detection, early diagnosis and timely treatment. Early detection is usually done by observing some early signs of miscarriage, which are actually the symptoms of what we call pre-eclampsia. The symptoms of pre-eclampsia are vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain. Vaginal bleeding often appears as brown or bright red discharge, or dark brown or bright red spotting bleeding, or a small amount of vaginal bleeding. Abdominal pain is often paroxysmal lower abdominal cramping or low back pain. The order in which vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain occur is different for early preterm miscarriage (before 12 weeks) and late preterm miscarriage (12 weeks or later). Early pre-eclampsia presents with a small amount of vaginal bleeding followed by abdominal pain. If abdominal pain is present, then it often indicates that the preterm miscarriage has worsened and that miscarriage may not be avoided. Late pre-eclampsia often presents with abdominal pain followed by vaginal bleeding. However, some pregnant women may say, “I am 5 months pregnant and I only have vaginal bleeding, but no abdominal pain. We all feel the contractions differently. During contractions, some patients do not feel pain in the lower abdomen, some have moderate pain in the lower abdomen or lower back pain, and some feel pain in the lower abdomen. At this time, the mother-to-be can gently put her hand on the uterus, if you feel the uterus harden, bulge, more frequent than usual episodes, then this is the contraction, that is, abdominal pain. This is still relatively easy to recognize. Above, the mothers-to-be know the symptoms of pre-eclampsia, early detection, timely hospital consultation, in order to successfully pass the pregnancy and give birth to a lovely baby.
