Qichong is located slightly above the groin, 2 inches from the anterior midline, and 5 inches below the umbilicus.
Qichong, also known as Qijie, is an acupoint on the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian and is located slightly above the groin, 2 inches from the anterior midline, and 5 inches below the umbilicus.
The superficial layer is covered with superficial blood vessels of the abdominal wall, the lateral cutaneous branch and the anterior cutaneous branch of the anterior branch of the 12th thoracic nerve and the anterior branch of the 1st lumbar nerve. In the deep layer, there are the lower spermatic cord or round ligament of the uterus, the ilioinguinal nerve and the genital branch of the genitofemoral nerve. It has the effect of moistening the zongjian, regulating the lower yuan and dispersing the syncopal qi, and is the main treatment for hernia, migraine, swollen and painful testicles, dribbling of urine, menstrual irregularities, bandhas, obstructed labor, spermatorrhea, impotence and other diseases.
