Minimally invasive hernia surgery can be discharged in a few days

The average hospital stay after minimally invasive surgery for a hernia is about 1-2 days, but it varies depending on the individual case. Hernia can be treated with minimally invasive surgical methods, which are less invasive and have a faster recovery. If the minimally invasive surgery is performed with a no-dissection stitch and the patient does not have redness, swelling, pain, oozing or other undesirable conditions, he or she can usually be discharged the day after surgery. If the patient is older or in poor health, he or she may remain in the hospital for a period of observation. Patients should adjust their life and rest after surgery, do not overwork; avoid excessive activities to pull the wound, and actively cooperate with the doctor to change the medication on time to avoid contamination of the operated area. In addition, patients are advised to avoid increasing abdominal pressure after surgery to prevent recurrence of hernia, avoid spicy and stimulating foods, eat more high-protein foods, and maintain an optimistic attitude.
