Eating dry, hard, rough, fibrous foods after gastric polyp surgery can cause the hemostatic clip to fall off. Depending on the patient’s condition, some patients may need to use titanium clips to stop bleeding during gastric polyp surgery. Titanium clips can fall off after a period of time and be discharged from the intestines. It is often necessary to abstain from food and water for about 3 days after cutting polyps, and after resuming eating, it is necessary to gradually transition from a liquid diet to a normal diet. In the early postoperative period, it is not advisable to eat dry, hard, rough and fibrous foods, which may increase the risk of hemostatic clip dislodgement due to friction and adhesion. Gastric polypectomy patients should resume diet gradually under the guidance of physician, pay attention to rest, and observe whether there are symptoms such as abdominal pain, vomiting, vomiting blood, black stool, etc. If there are such symptoms, they need to be treated by physician immediately.
