Is there a simple way to determine rheumatic fever

There is no easy way to determine rheumatic fever, and the determination of rheumatic fever needs to be combined with clinical manifestations as well as laboratory tests and judged by a professional doctor.
Rheumatic fever is a systemic non-purulent disease of connective tissue associated with group A beta-hemolytic streptococcal infection. Clinical diagnosis of rheumatic fever relies mainly on clinical manifestations and laboratory tests. Clinical manifestations are mainly arthritis and carditis (myocarditis, endocarditis, pericarditis), which may be accompanied by fever, rash, subcutaneous nodules, chorea, and other manifestations.
Laboratory tests include pharyngeal swab culture, serum hemolytic streptococcal antibody measurement, serum complement, and blood routine, etc. If evidence of streptococcal infection is suggested, followed by the symptoms described above, the diagnosis of rheumatic fever is likely. In addition, there are clinically atypical rheumatic fever, which requires the judgment of experienced clinicians.
If the patient has symptoms similar to rheumatic fever, it is recommended to go to the hospital immediately for treatment after diagnosis by a professional physician, so as not to delay the condition.
