How minimally invasive bile reflux surgery is performed

The type of minimally invasive surgery for bile reflux and how it is done depends on the cause of bile reflux. In general, the most common bile reflux is considered to be caused by hepatic bile duct stones, and this minimally invasive surgery is usually performed to remove the gallbladder or bile duct stones inside and outside the liver, and if necessary, to perform hepatic lobectomy to try to remove the stones and prevent reflux. If bile duct obstruction is considered, minimally invasive stenting or ERCP treatment is required to relieve the lower bile duct obstruction. In some cases, if malignant tumors are considered, radical surgery is required. If bile reflux is considered to be caused by delayed lower cardia esophagus, lower cardia esophagoplasty may be considered.
