How long can you live if you have a total resection of stomach cancer?

The survival time of gastric cancer patients after total excision is not generalized, and it is related to the presence or absence of lymph node metastasis of the tumor, surgical method, clinical stage and other factors. Clinically, “5-year survival rate” is often used to roughly estimate the survival of patients with tumors. Studies have shown that the 5-year survival rate of patients without lymph node metastasis is greater than that of patients with lymphatic metastasis. In terms of surgical modality, patients with radical surgery have a longer survival than those with palliative surgery. In terms of clinicopathologic staging, gastric cancer patients with relatively early clinicopathologic staging at the time of surgery have relatively longer survival. It should be noted that gastric cancer patients can improve the prognosis and reduce the adverse effects of the disease through “early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment”, and it is recommended that patients actively carry out regular treatment under the guidance of doctors.
